Applications Store

APEX  Cloud  Apps  runs  on  Oracle  Cloud  Infrastructure which is  specifically  designed  for  secure,   scaleable,   easily            configurable,    internet    standards-based   integration  with    external  systems   and  web  services.   It  is  low-code,  reliable  and  supports   rapid  development  of  modern,   enterprise    applications   built on  its   role-based,   fine-grained data          security  architecture

Applications   are  typically  created  in  a  matter  of  days  and    instantly deployed as  new  menu items  in the application store

“data-driven companies enjoy increased revenue, improved customer service, best-in-class operating efficiencies and improved profitability”

Scenario: MS Office 365   /   E-Business Suite integration

APEX Cloud Apps integration with MS Office 365  converts  inbound  email    attachments  including Office files, pdf’s, images, audio, video and scanned documents  into readable  text

Email attachments  are  stored in  encrypted  cloud  storage  and  a  database  record  comprising the text element plus metadata is created  that  enables  advanced, search-engine fast access and retrieval of  attachment content

Invoice, receipt and expense  document  types  are   automatically  identified  and  formatted  prior to  insert   into  custom   staging   tables  ready  for      import  into  ERP  systems  using  the  appropriate  custom APEX App

Additional document  types  can  also  be  added  using  the  Document Understanding web service  which  learns  with  as  few as  five  samples  how  to  interpret  scanned  pharmacy   prescriptions,    meter    readings,  driving  licenses,  application  forms,  insurance claims, CV’s  &  most  other  proforma

New document  types  can  then be processed  as  email  attachments  using  the same  MS  Office  365  integration  –  innovative  new  custom  Apps  plug  straight  into  the  existing  APEX Cloud Apps framework

Scenario: MS Office 365   /  AI Language integration

APEX Cloud Apps  uses  a  Sentience  Analysis  AI web  service  to  analyse  inbound  customer  emails  and  monitor  their  human  emotional  content  over time

Managers are automatically emailed when specified tolerance thresholds are met for  the  purpose  of  improving  quality  standards  and  customer  service

AI Sentience Analysis can also be used to monitor and improve services based on speech using a Language AI service to initially convert recorded audio or video to text

World of possibilities

APEX  Cloud  Apps  / MS Office 365    integration   combines   industrial   strength  Oracle database   processing power,  OCI  technology  and  a  secure  role-based  rapid    application  deployment   framework  with  Azure  web  services  that          access  Microsoft  SharePoint,  Outlook,   Teams  and  Calendar

Yet this integration  barely  scratches  the  surface  of  what  is  possible  in terms  of  business  innovation:  there  is  an ever increasing  number  of  web  services  which  can  be    accessed  independently  or  in  orchestrated  daisy  chains.  Web  services  are also  easily  published  to  external  third  parties  with  minimal  coding  required

The  key  thing  is  the  platform  that  brings  everything  together:  APEX  Cloud Apps   on  Oracle  Cloud  Infrastructure  (OCI)  is  a  low-code  solution  that   enables  established   organizations   to   creatively   exploit   their  digital  resources   and  compete  with   the  agile  new   startups   in  a  fast-moving  world,  with  minimal    investment,  negligible  risk  and  enormous   opportunities

APEX Cloud Apps  is  also  perfectly  suited  to  managing   Integrations  that  are  too  complicated   to   be   shoe-horned   wholesale  into   Oracle  Integration Cloud (OIC) which is  very  often  the  main  cause  of  spiralling  costs  and  project  failure.

Instead, integrations  are broken down into manageable  steps  with  customized  configuration,  validation,  notifications,  error-handling,  resubmission  and  logging  to  support   a  retained  OIC  backbone.   The  result  is   superior  visibility  and    control  managing  complex  workflows  and  interfaces,  compared  to  OIC  alone
